US Logistics & Distribution Manager

Role Overview

PerfectTed is looking for a US Logistics & Distribution Manager to build and manage the operational infrastructure behind our US expansion.

As the world's leading matcha brand and one of the UK's fastest-growing consumer businesses, we're entering an exciting new phase of growth across the United States. This is a newly created role with the opportunity to help shape how our products move through the market from day one.

You'll own the movement of stock across the US supply chain, managing freight providers, warehouses, distributors, customs processes, and logistics partners to ensure products arrive on time, in full, and at the right cost.

This is a highly operational role for someone who loves solving problems, building scalable systems, and keeping complex supply chains running smoothly.

Responsibilities

🚚 Freight & Transportation

• Manage inbound and outbound freight across the US supply chain
• Coordinate ocean freight, road freight, and shipping providers
• Optimise transportation costs and service levels
• Resolve logistics issues quickly and effectively

📦 Warehousing & Inventory Flow

• Manage relationships with US warehouse and 3PL partners
• Monitor inventory accuracy and warehouse performance
• Ensure stock movements are executed efficiently
• Improve warehouse KPIs and operational performance

🌎 Distribution & Retail Fulfilment

• Coordinate inventory movements across distributors and customers
• Ensure retailer launches and replenishment requirements are met
• Support Amazon, wholesale, and retail fulfilment operations
• Build scalable distribution processes

📊 Performance & Cost Management

• Track freight, warehousing, and logistics costs
• Improve OTIF delivery performance
• Build reporting across logistics KPIs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives

🚀 US Expansion Support

• Support new retailer launches and market expansion projects
• Build relationships with key logistics partners across the US
• Help create the infrastructure needed to scale nationally

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 5+ years' experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain operations
• Experience managing freight providers and warehouse partners
• Strong understanding of inventory movement and distribution networks
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

💡 Nice-to-Haves

• Experience managing US logistics operations
• Experience with Amazon, retail, or wholesale distribution
• Familiarity with customs, imports, and international freight
• FMCG, beverage, or food industry experience
