Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with hands-on experience in UI and API automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Playwright, TypeScript, Python, and automation frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts, executing different types of testing, and ensuring the quality and reliability of applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing.
• Build, enhance, and maintain automation testing frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain API automation scripts using Python.
• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing to ensure application stability.
• Integrate automated test suites with Jenkins for continuous integration and execution.
• Analyze test execution results, identify failures, perform root cause analysis, and report defects.
• Track and manage defects using Jira and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall testing processes.
• Leverage basic AI knowledge and AI-assisted tools to improve testing productivity and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in UI automation and API automation testing.
• Strong working knowledge of Playwright and TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Python for test automation.
• Good understanding of automation framework design, development, and maintenance.
• Experience with Jenkins for test execution and CI/CD integration.
• Working knowledge of Jira for defect tracking and test management.
• Experience in preparing test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Good understanding of functional, regression, and smoke testing.
• Basic knowledge of AI concepts and AI-assisted testing tools.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Good to Have

• Experience in scalability, load, or performance testing.
• Experience working in the cybersecurity or information security domain.
• Familiarity with security-related applications.
• Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-based application environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices and test automation optimization.
• Exposure to AI-driven applications or AI-assisted test automation.
