To strengthen our Cooperations & Development team, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager. In this role, you will primarily develop our existing portfolio of projects in Germany and neighboring countries – BESS hybridization, wind repowering, and PV revamping, increasingly combining several technologies at a common grid connection point – and drive the projects forward together with our development partners from initial screening to construction readiness. As a Project Manager in Cooperations & Development, you are responsible for:

• Managing renewable energy projects (wind, PV and BESS) in Germany and neighboring countries, including BESS hybridization, wind repowering and PV revamping of our existing plants, as well as co-developments with partners – from feasibility studies through permitting, grid connection and contract drafting to the construction phase and commissioning, in close cooperation with our Asset, Commercial and Investment Management teams.
• The development of hybrid and co-location concepts at our existing sites: shared grid connection, shared infrastructure and coordinated implementation and operating concepts for BESS, wind, and PV.
• Managing external project developers, co-development partners and consultants (technology, legal, network, environment) – including scope of services, schedules, gate reviews, development budgets and their milestone-based approval.
• Managing feasibility studies, contract negotiations (including lease, grid connection, option and co-development contracts), financial modeling and due diligence processes
• Active stakeholder management with landowners, municipalities, permitting authorities, network operators, consultants and development partners.
• The observation of market, regulatory and technological developments and their translation into project strategy and risk assessment
• The creation and presentation of decision-making documents, investment cases, and project updates for senior management, investment committee, and executive management.

You bring the following:

• At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, ideally across technologies (BESS, wind, photovoltaics) and including repowering or hybridization of existing plants
• Enthusiasm for the energy transition, a high degree of personal responsibility and ownership, as well as an entrepreneurial and team-oriented mindset.
• Hands-on mentality and negotiation skills: You are just as comfortable on-site and at the negotiating table with landowners, authorities, network operators and partners as you are in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Confident demeanor in negotiations, management, and collaborative partnerships with co-development partners, project developers, and external consultants.
• A solid understanding of project finance and investment logic (business cases, IRR drivers, bankability) as well as confident handling of financial models.
• Sound knowledge of the German renewable energy market, ideally complemented by knowledge of neighboring markets (Poland, France, Netherlands); experience with grid connection and approval procedures (Federal Immission Control Act, Federal Building Code), especially hybrid and co-location projects at a common grid connection point, is a plus.
• A completed university degree in engineering, business administration, energy economics or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on renewable energies.
• Fluent German and English skills (at least C1 level); knowledge of Polish, French or Dutch is a plus.
